I'm fascinated by the comings and goings of the naval ships and could probably just sit on my balcony and do nothing else. Alas, the conference beckons and I must do The Right Thing (attending sessions).

Back when i had to go to conferences, i loathed it. Now i'm kinda jealous myself. They were the stress-free timeouts time in my library career when i could just gather or ignore information, eat in restaurants, and got no grief from the boss (or the customers) for anything. Even our sessions in larger SC cities were a change of pace and provided some fun too, though not as cool as the cities you seem to visit. Wonderful pictures.
